"Now this is Michel’s best one (although the Clos de Vougeot will run it close.) Sourced from two parcels, one affected by court–noué, which naturally reduces yields by producing small berries, this has a wonderful, almost decadent nose with pure, heavenly black cherries, cassis and minerals. The palate is velvety smooth, beautifully defined and has a real controlled opulent about it . . . . quite feminine and poised on the finish, this is a marvellous Nuits."
