"Here the nose is still extremely primary and backward . . . though there is real freshness and verve to the rich, full-bodied and very serious tautly muscled flavors that are cool and restrained yet beautifully focused and brimming with an almost aggressive minerality on the borderline painfully intense and explosive finish. This is a 'wow' wine that will need plenty of patience before it will be ready."
