"Like the Clos des Couchereaux this also displays some mint influence to the very ripe liqueur-like black berry fruit and earth aromas. There is good verve and plenty of tension to the intense middle weight flavors that possess relatively firm-grained tannins but even so there is a muscular, indeed even moderately robust character to the dusty, reserved and balanced mineral-inflected finish."
