"The limited-production 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard (475 cases) is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 90% new French oak. This is an amazing 2014 and one of the few perfect wines that I could find while tasting at the top addresses in Northern California. Blue/purple in color, with extraordinarily intense floral notes intermixed with blueberry, blackberry, crushed charcoal and camphor, the wine hits the palate with a spectacular display of glycerin, fruit, sweet tannin, adequate acidity, and wonderful equilibrium and purity. The finish was close to a minute. This wine is irresistible, although it is certainly capable of lasting three decades or more. Kudos to the Dotzlers and Thomas Rivers Brown for this magnificent achievement! . . . . Thomas Rivers Brown has been their winemaking consultant since their debut vintage. These are all sensational wines. The dedication to excellence starts with the Grenache, which seems to get better with each vintage. This comes from the Alban clone of Grenache and Outpost uses 100% stems. Yields are especially low because this clonal selection (believed to have come from Château Rayas in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) is known for shatter . . ."

California's most prestigious wine region, celebrated worldwide for opulent, structured Cabernet Sauvignon. Diverse soils and mountain-to-valley-floor sites yield wines of remarkable ripeness, power and longevity.
A high-elevation Napa AVA above the fog line, producing intensely concentrated, firmly structured mountain Cabernet built for long aging.
