"Dark red. Intensely floral aromas of bright cherry, redcurrant and anise. Vibrant and fresh, with initially unforthcoming red fruit flavors taking on a black raspberry tone and growing sweetness with aeration. Finishes silky and fresh, with an energizing mineral note, the flavors tightening up on the close."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
