"Very good red-purple; dark cherry fruit, followed by evident but not aggressive oak. There is a similar interplay on the palate, with sweet oak complementing the dark cherry/berry fruit and soft, lingering tannins on the finish. Altogether stylish."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
