"The Chardonnay CuvĂ©e IndigĂšne was inspired by Helen Turley in 1988. Essentially a winemakerâs barrel selection from the finest lots of the Old Wente clone, the dominate clonal component of all these single-vineyard wines, it is fermented with natural yeasts, and has always been one of Peter Michaelâs finest Chardonnays. There are 360 cases of the 2013 Chardonnay CuvĂ©e IndigĂšne, which exhibits lots of honeyed pear characteristics intertwined with notions of gun flint, subtle smoke and leesy candle wax notes, medium to full body, and a distinct earthy/terroir character."
