"Saturated ruby. Oak-spiced cherry and dark berries on the nose, complicated by notes of vanilla, roasted coffee and pipe tobacco. Deeply pitched cassis and bitter cherry flavors are given lift and spine by gentle acidity and pick up spiciness with air. This ripe, lively wine finishes with very good breadth and lingering dark chocolate, vanilla and cherry notes."
