"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Stones No. 2, coming from the Chang Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Clone 4. This might be the most sensational wine of all, exhibiting black raspberry and blackberry fruit mixed with acacia flowers, licorice, forest floor and high-quality toasty oak. Deep, full-bodied and opulent with a finish that hits a good 50-plus seconds, this is a killer example of a Cabernet Sauvignon that should be absolutely amazing when it’s in bottle next year. The consulting winemaker, Philippe Melka, said he expects it will be aged a full 20 months in 100% new French oak, primarily from coopers such as Taransaud, Demptos, and Ermitage."
