"The nose is a little 'softer' than the ensuing vintage with dates, cedar, a touch of pencil shavings and a touch of walnuts. A typical 1985 in terms of mouthfeel: fleshy, slightly lower acidity than the 1986, very approachable and very well balanced. Good definition, very focused towards the finish, this wine is drinking beautifully now. Feminine and graceful, with an understated, sensuous finish. Excellent."
