"The 2010 Oliver’s Blend is gorgeous. A deep, intriguing wine, the 2010 is loaded with considerable aromatic and flavor complexity. Smoke, bacon fat, ash, incense, tobacco, plums and black cherries meld together in the glass. There is an intense vein of underlying minerality that gives the wine much of its focus and energy. Readers will have to be patient with the 2010. It is a dark, brooding wine that needs time to blossom in bottle, but is beautiful, even at this early stage. In 2010 the blend is 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
An aromatic red grape lending perfume, red fruit and a leafy, savory edge. It thrives in the Loire and as a key blending partner in Bordeaux, especially Saint-Emilion.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
Produces plush, supple, fruit-forward reds with plum and chocolate notes. Softer and earlier-maturing than Cabernet, it adds flesh and roundness to blends and stars in Right Bank Bordeaux.
