"A bright lemon-yellow color already indicates the 2012 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling SpÀtlese was made "without a single botrytis berry," as Barbara Selbach puts it. Picked November 5 and bottled with 8% alcohol and 70 grams per liter residual sugar, the clear bouquet reveals herbal notes along with bright fruit flavors leading to a quite sweet and elegant wine with a nice but rather gentle acidity. The finish is salty, stimulating and piquant, although for my personal taste less sugar would have allowed it more tension ."
