93 ST "Deeper, more exotic aromas of apricot, nuts, clove and smoky oak. A step up in concentration of fruit and density from the Bienvenue. Impressively round and dense, with a rich, sweet flavor of ripe pineapple. Pernot's 2002 Batard is longer but not obviously stronger than this. The 2002 is more mentholated, backward and serious than this, notes Pernot, while the opposite is true for the two vintages of Bienvenue."
