"Pear, spring flowers, smoke, clove and mint on the nose. Beautifully delineated and pure in the mouth, with firm mineral spine contributing to the impression of precision. Not quite as rich as the 2000, but sweeter on the back than the '99 Batard. Perhaps still a bit stunted by the bottling, but built for slow evolution."
