"The 1966 vintage has produced and utterly classic example of La Conseillante, with the combination of haunting perfume, seamless and complex flavors and great intensity of flavor without any undue weight that makes La Conseillante such a unique and profound property. The bouquet is a beautiful blend of black raspberries, allspice, cigar wrappers, a touch of nutskin, gentle herb tones, coffee and minerality. On the palate the wine is medium-full, round, suave and complex, with great focus and tang, fine mid-palate intensity, melted tannins, bright acids and a beautiful, velvety and ethereal finish. Tout en finesse."
