"I’m happy to report that, on balance, von Buhl’s 2008 Riesling Kabinett Armand can be well-recommended, because otherwise I would not have had chance to expound on its amazing details . . . . In fact, yellow plum, lemon, and grapefruit offer a refreshing as well as palate-scouring impression, while the wine’s sheer sense of density – not precluding lightness and lift – evidently helps buffer the enamel-effacing intensity of its acids. Extremely low pH has the effect of invigorating tactile impingement but at the same time a faint sense of drying in the finish. Try this . . . in some extreme culinary situations, or hold on to a few bottles to see whether its evolution might be analogous to that of an extreme Mosel or Saar Kabinett."

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
