"Dark red. Aromas of dark raspberry, pepper, violet and Christmas spices; something almost syrah-like about the nose. Not fleshy but intensely flavored, with subtle sweetness and excellent definition to the flavors of crushed currant and raspberry. Finishes firmly tannic and long. An excellent vintage for this bottling. Lovely balance for aging here."
