"I had liked the Clos de la Roche 2005 in the cellars last year, and the 2006 looks like another excellent success. The bouquet is deep and classy, as it offers up notes of plums, cherries, dark berries, coffee, a lovely base of soil and a touch of graphite. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, tight and very long, with a fine kernel of fruit at the core, ripe tannins, good acids and fine length and grip on the finish."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
