"Margaux du Château Margaux 2009 was produced from a great vintage, and posseses all those attributes: a deep, dark colour, a rich nose, it is voluptuous, already complex where flowery and spicy hints mingle with those of cocoa. The impression on the mouth reflects the intensity of the aromas; it is full-flavoured, rich and impressive, structured by well-softened tannins. The finish is soft, both warm and fresh. This wine is very powerful and concentrated - even more so than the first and second wines, and is quite remarkably open and easy to drink, which is probably owing to the personality of the vintage as much as to the Château Margaux terroir."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
The world's largest fine-wine region, built around blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Divided by the Gironde estuary into the structured Left Bank and the plush, Merlot-led Right Bank, it is the historic benchmark for age-worthy claret and sweet Sauternes.
The Left Bank appellation prized for perfumed, silky and elegant Cabernet-based wines. Gravel soils yield claret of aromatic finesse and refinement.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
