"The 2007 Montefalco Sagrantino Colle Grimaldesco is an immensely appealing wine that captures plenty of varietal character yet also manages to be open and radiant. Firm yet beautifully balanced tannins frame the dark fruit. Hints of licorice, tar and medicinal herbs develop in the glass, adding further complexity. The Colle Grimaldeso is opulent but not over the top. It is a winner from Tabarrini."
