"The 2009 Chardonnay is one of Gary Jordan’s best whites. With half the crop fermented in French oak (50% new) with 9 months lees aging, it has a taut, reserved, but very focused bouquet that displays judicious use of new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp entry and good acidity and shows subtle green apple, lime flower and hazelnut notes towards the composed finish. This is not a showy Chardonnay, but one that is very well crafted and succinct."
