"The 2001 Joseph Shiraz Angel Gully, the debut release of this cuvee, offers pure, chocolate, espresso roast, blackberry, and new saddle leather characteristics. This heady, alcoholic, stuffed wine is not for those looking for restrained, wimpish Shiraz. Interestingly, Primo Estate ferments in open top fermenters, and utilizes three types of oak, French, American, and German."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
