"The 2009 SpÀtlese from the Oligsberg is terrific, and perhaps the pick of the litter this year amongst this extremely strong group of SpÀtlesen. The bouquet is deep and refined, as it offers up a complex blend of oranges, apples, vibrant minerality, wild yeasts, citrus zest and orange blossoms in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, medium-full and classy, with beautiful, tensile acidity, a great base of minerality, and lovely cut and filigree on the long, dancing finish."
