"In short, this wine is sensational. It emerges from what appears to be a spectacular vintage for old vine Shiraz. The tell-tale bacon fat, pepper, smoke, and blackberry/melted asphalt aromas and flavors can only come from ultra-concentrated, volputuously-textured Shiraz from Australia. Super-powerful, full-bodied, and excitingly pure."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
