"Fashioned from the Pommard clone, the 2001 Pinot Noir Rozak Ranch’s light to medium ruby color is somewhat deceiving in view of its flavor authority and punch. Notes of sassafras, cloves, Allspice, pepper, black cherries, and damp earth emerge from this wine that reeks of terroir. I can envision French Burgundy enthusiasts mistaking it for a Pommard Rugiens or Pommard Epenots."
