"Very good red-ruby color. Violet, mint, shoe polish and spicy oak on the nose. Rather unforthcoming in the mouth, with a serious structure for the vintage, but perhaps more opulent and finer than the Lynch-Bages. Lingering, spicy back end. A very good showing."
