"Tasted from the Chateau reserves at the estate. This has a similar nose to the bottle shown in London, perhaps a little fresher but still reminiscent of Climens. The palate is well balanced and vibrant, that citric seam of acidity still present, fresh and lively with barley sugar, orange rind and marmalade towards the taut but long finish. This is certainly one of the better 1967 Sauternes and it just gets better and better in the glass, exuding great tension and freshness, a Sauternes egging you on to take another sip."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
The world's largest fine-wine region, built around blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Divided by the Gironde estuary into the structured Left Bank and the plush, Merlot-led Right Bank, it is the historic benchmark for age-worthy claret and sweet Sauternes.
Produces the world's most celebrated sweet wines, made from Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc affected by noble rot. Rich, honeyed and remarkably long-lived, they balance sweetness with vibrant acidity.
Yields crisp, aromatic whites with citrus, herb and grassy notes. It shines in the Loire, Bordeaux blends and around the world for its refreshing zip.
Prized both for age-worthy dry whites and, when affected by noble rot, the great sweet wines of Sauternes. It offers waxy texture and honeyed depth.
