"Smoky oak and black raspberry on the nose. Lively red berry flavors are firmed by juicy acidity and given depth by a slow-building dark chocolate quality. The finish features an interesting Campari-like bitterness and a lingering note of cracked pepper. Not a particularly easy style, but nicely suited to strongly seasoned red meat dishes."
