"The 1996 l'Extravagant is pure Sauvignon Blanc. It boasts a deep gold color, in addition to an unctuous texture, fabulous freshness, and notes of grapefruit and subtle oak (the 200% new oak treatment is utilized for the whopping 100-125 cases produced). A huge wine, with lots of acidity and little mass and volume, this tour de force in wine making should drink well for 50+ years. Readers should note that this offering is only available in one-bottle wood cases!"
