"Musky, oily, rather closed nose. Very sweet and large-scaled, with superb fruit and spice. Not as fine as the Hengst but builds and builds on the powerful back end, which features an intriguing note of licorice. This has roughly the same residual sugar as the Hengst (around 75 g/l) but much less alcohol (13.5%, vs. 15.2%)."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Sheltered by the Vosges mountains, Alsace produces aromatic, mostly dry varietal whites - Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris - of exceptional purity and ageability.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
