"This is the first vintage to be produced by well-known wine consultant Heidi Barrett. From a mountain vineyard that has a tendency to turn out rustic, tannic examples, this dense ruby/purple-colored wine possesses fine balance. The bouquet reveals notes of new saddle leather, minerals, and black fruits. The wine is full-bodied and tightly-knit, with plenty of muscle, and a long, deep, toasty oak-flavored finish."
