89+ ST "Complex aromas of lime, flowers, herbs and licorice. Dense but juicy; solid acids contribute to the impression of firm structure. Rather closed today, but Kientzler noted that in the early days this wine was more showy. Finishes with sneaky persistence. This and the Riesling Geisberg are carrying a modest four grams or so of residual sugar. Kientzler marginally prefers this wine to the 2000 version, but prefers the 2000 Geisberg to the earlier vintage "for its vivacity."" 89+ ST "Complex aromas of lime, flowers, herbs and licorice. The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Sheltered by the Vosges mountains, Alsace produces aromatic, mostly dry varietal whites - Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris - of exceptional purity and ageability.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
