"While the expressive, ripe and highly complex nose is now full-on secondary in character with plenty of Gevrey character there is presently no sign of sous bois. There is excellent size, weight and muscle to the overtly powerful and mineral-inflected large-scaled flavors that possess the same fine complexity as the nose, all wrapped in a balanced, intense and impressively persistent finish. The tannins are largely reserved and while there is just a trace of '95 style tannic firmness, this structural elements are really quite ripe."
