"[From a 2.5 ha parcel; <30% wood averaging 3 years of age.] A relatively classic nose of white flower, discreet oyster shell, citrus and ripe green fruit is trimmed in a discreet touch of wood before giving way to rich, powerful and energetic flavors that possess a prominent acid spine on the attractively long and intense finish. Like the Vaudésir, this is not particularly elegant or refined but there is plenty of wine here."

The world's most versatile white grape, producing everything from steely Chablis to rich, oaked whites. Its neutrality makes it a mirror of terroir and winemaking, and the foundation of white Burgundy and Champagne.
