"Vivid ruby. Black raspberry, spicecake, rose and licorice on the nose. Deeply pitched red and dark berry flavors are enlivened by zesty minerality and complemented by notes of woodsmoke, licorice and candied flowers. Penetrating fruit and mineral qualities expand on the finish, which features notes of peppery spice and licorice. Showing very good complexity now but this is built to age."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
A rugged Catalan region whose steep llicorella slate slopes produce dense, mineral Garnacha and Carinena. Low yields and old vines give wines of great intensity and concentration.
One of only two wines with Spain's top DOQ status, yielding dense, mineral Garnacha and Carinena from steep slate slopes.
