". . . This bottle was wonderfully spicy, intense and pure with excellent integration of the abundant extract and structure as the finish is firm but with superb buffering material and a subtle finishing minerality. In particular, I was struck by how fresh this was relative to so many aromatically dull '97s. In short, a sensational effort for the vintage and like the Richebourg, it has pleasantly surprised me with how slowly it is evolving."
