Roasted, secondary fruit notes cut with warm earth followed by very big, almost syrah like flavors of exceptionally good richness and depth plus superb length. A decidedly atypical '85 as it is extremely ripe and completely coats the palate with the dramatically powerful, beautifully textured, indeed even opulent and velvety flavors.
