A more complex and more deeply pitched nose of violets, earth, game and a pretty mix of both red and largely blue berry fruit aromas marries into serious if not somber full-bodied flavors that possess an intense minerality on the mildly austere and impressively long finish. This is quite firm and unlike a number of wines in the range, may not drink quite as well young.
