"The lieu à dit of les Seuvrées also lies on the opposite side of the RN74 from the slope of premier and grand cru vineyards, but it is very well-situated on the Morey border, and much of its border across the road is with Mazoyrès-Chambertin. The 2017 from Laurent Lignier is another outstanding village wine, offering up a pure and complex bouquet of red and black cherries, mustard seed, complex soil tones, gamebird, a bit of cocoa, refined soil elements and a gentle framing of cedary wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with lovely purity on the attack, plenty of soil signature, suave tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. Another truly exceptional Gevrey AC." |
