A. Mann Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Gris from Alsace, Alsace

“The 2015 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst is a gorgeously rich, intense and powerful Pinot with an oily texture, a vital acidity, great tension and length. Impressive.” Wine Advocate 93 Points

“Bright yellow with golden tinges. Perfumed aromas of guava, peach, minerals and sweet spices. Multilayered and suave, displaying a lovely sense of balance to the rich, long orchard and tropical fruit flavors. Finishes very clean and fresh, as well as a little sweet (29 g/L residual sugar and 5.1 g/L total acidity) and tannic; the hint of tannic bite is fairly typical of the Hengst due to its marly soils. Barthelmy likes the 2015 Pinot Gris Furstentum more in 2015, but for me it’s the other way around.” Vinous 91+ Points

Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“Boxler's 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg opens with the discreet charm and aristocratic distinction of a great wine. Very pure, clear, fine and elegant on the nose, with fine stony and herbal flavors but also ripe stone fruit and floral aromas, the 2015 tells the story of its origin in the glass in an excitingly subtle yet deep way. The palate is great! It is intense and juicy, nicely concentrated and ripe, with a touch of sweetness but gorgeous finesse, vitality and piquancy. The finish is pure and salty and develops a fascinating juiciness that explodes in the finish. This is not a wine for mouthfeel drinkers, but it is surely one of the finest, most delicate and balanced Rieslings you can find from this vintage. The combination of concentration, complexity, structure, minerality and sweetness (due to the low acidity, higher alcohol and extract) could hardly be better.” Wine Advocate 95 Points

Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“The 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg has a clear, fresh, mineral and highly delicate nose with concentrated white stone fruit but also flinty/stony aromas. Lemon flavors are here as well, but they are concentrated as in a chutney or a cake. Rich, lush, intense and beautifully concentrated (seamless) on the palate, with a lingering minerality, this is another gorgeous Riesling from Jean Boxler. Its finish is lean and finessed but also ripe, concentrated, rich, elegant and endlessly salty. There seems to be some sweetness, but the fine tannins, the body, concentration and finesse balance it perfectly. This Eckberg is fine and rich at the same time. A fascinating Riesling!” Wine Advocate 96 Points

Albert Mann Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steingrubler 2015, 0.75L
Gewurztraminer from Alsace, Alsace

“Very ripe but precise and intense, with classic Gewurz flavors on the nose opens the 2015 Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steingrubler, a powerful yet vital, precise and elegant wine full of tension and grip. Very stimulating its its purity and tension. The wine finished at 13.% alcohol and 37 grams of residual sugar, but you almost don't taste it!” Wine Advocate 93 Points

“Bright straw. Nuanced bergamot and candied orange peel on the nose, plus hints of cinnamon and white flowers. Bright, dense and pure, offering clean citrus and spicy honey flavors that are impeccably balanced (37 g/L residual sugar and 4.7 g/L total acidity). The finish is long and very precise. The Steingrubler always produces very delicate Gewürzes that lack the depth of the Furstentum, but are also at once refined and dainty - ideal for those who don’t like this variety’s powerful, often opulent personality. Very lovely wine.” Vinous 90+ Points

D. Coquelet Chiroubles 2015, 0.75L
Gamay from Chiroubles, Beaujolais

"The 2015 Chiroubles from Damien Coquelet is a fine, fine follow-up to his beautiful 2014 version. The lovely and sappy nose shows just a whisper of baked fruit elements in its mélange of black cherries, pomegranate, gamebird, violets, lovely soil tones and a topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and really nicely structured, with a sappy core harnessed behind a bit of tannin, bright acids and outstanding focus and grip on the long and still quite youthful finish. This is an absolutely superb young bottle of Chiroubles that seems to want to be a Morgon this year, as it shows uncanny structure for the long haul and is destined to be an absolutely gorgeous wine with a bit of bottle age. The hint of baked fruit tones meld beautifully into the vibrancy of the wine and really give this high class Chiroubles a bit of 1982 Bordeaux personality. It is approachable today, but I would opt for giving it at least a couple of years in the cellar to more fully blossom, as this is going to be a very uncharacteristically long-lived and epic bottle of Chiroubles." 93+ John Gilman

“Vivid ruby. Pungent red and blue fruit and floral scents are lifted by a zesty mineral note and a hint of white pepper. Palate-staining black raspberry and boysenberry flavors show excellent clarity and a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes sappy, sweet and very long, with subtle earth and floral pastille notes lingering.” Vinous 92 Points

P.-M. Chermette Domaine du Vissoux Cuvée Traditionnelle Vieille Vignes 2015, 0.75L
Gamay from Beaujolais, Beaujolais

"Vivid ruby. Expansive, highly perfumed raspberry and floral pastille aromas are complemented by a suggestion of Asian spices. A core of minerality adds definition and spine to juicy red fruit flavors, which show impressive focus and back-end lift. Finishes gently sweet and very long, leaving behind sappy red fruit and rose pastille notes. As always, this wine delivers excellent value." Vinous

Brane-Cantenac 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Carmenere from Margaux, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Brane-Cantenac is powerful, structured and explosive in feel. A deep, resonant wine, the 2015 boasts off the charts ripeness allied to formidable structure and tannic heft. I imagine the 2015 is going to need a number of years to become approachable and more than that to be at its best. The dark stone fruit, smoke, tobacco, spice and leather flavors pack a huge punch, but it is the wine's balance that places it among the elite on the Left Bank in 2015. Brane-Cantenac is a total pleasure bomb. I can't wait to taste it with a little bottle age." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

Clos Saint-Andre 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon from Pomerol, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Clos Saint-André (which some readers might recognize from the chapter in my Pomerol book) is a minuscule Pomerol grower close to Montviel. It has a generous bouquet of crushed strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas . . . clean and pure, and not overwhelmed by the 100% new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, a fine thread of acidity, tightly knit red and black fruit with a touch of spice . . ."  Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

Cos d'Estournel Blanc 2015, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc / Sémillon from Bordeaux, Bordeaux

"Exotic aromas of sliced mangoes and green papaya with undertones of pebbles and lemon rind. Full-bodied and dense — showing plenty of phenolic tension — yet this remains vivid and bright. Dried fruits such as apricots and lemons come to the surface on the palate. Dense and complex wine. Drink or hold for many years ahead." 95 Points James Suckling

Desmirail 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Margaux, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Desmirail has a nicely detailed bouquet with blackberry, briary and iris aromas, gaining intensity in the glass, a Margaux with commendable presence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. This is saline in the mouth, quite brine-like towards the finish but I appreciate the length and persistence here. This fulfils the promise that it showed out of barrel and constitutes one of the longer-term Margaux wines. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux." Vinous 91 Points

"Lovely, with crushed plum, boysenberry and blackberry fruit inlaid seamlessly with warmed anise, singed mesquite, Lapsang souchong tea and sandalwood notes. The fine-grained finish flows wonderfully. " Wine Spectator 91 Points

La Peyre Cru Artisan Saint-Estephe 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Petit Verdot / Cabernet Franc from St. Estephe, Bordeaux

"The vineyards for the Saint Estephe of La Peyre are situated in the village of Leyssac in the same zone as that of Montrose and Haut-Marbuzet. There are a total of eight hectares of vines with an average age of 30 years (as of 2011). The soil is predominantly gravel with a mix of clay. The grape mix for the Saint Estephe is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks and then the wine is aged in small oak barrels (about one-third of which is new) for an additional 15 to 18 months before being bottled (without filtration). Production is 40,000 bottles annually of which about 4200 bottles are provided to RWM for sale in the USA." Importer Notes, Rosenthal Wine Merchant

Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux. 2015, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc from Margaux, Bordeaux

"Margaux's 2015 Pavillon Blanc is superb. Remarkably pure and crystalline, especially for the year, the Pavillon Blanc proves to be utterly irresistible. Lemon peel, white flowers, crushed rocks, mint and a hint of reduction develop in the glass, but it is the wine's energy that is most alluring. The intensely saline, nuanced finish only reinforces the impression of translucent purity. Readers who own the 2015 are going to be thrilled, as it is a truly magical wine." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

Potensac 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Médoc, Bordeaux

"Deep, dark ruby-garnet with an opaque core, violet highlights, and delicate lightening at the rim. Fine blackberry fruit, ripe heart cherries, a touch of nougat, and delicate, candied orange zest. Complex, juicy, blackberry nuances, present, supportive tannins, a fresh structure, and cherry fruit reverberating in the finish; a versatile food companion." 92-94 Falstaff Magazin

"A clarity and transparency to this pretty red with currant, lemon-peel and lemon-grass character. Full body, very fine tannins and a pretty texture. Precise wine." James Suckling 92 Points

"The 2015 Potensac is just as beautiful from bottle as it was from barrel. Dark, succulent and super-expressive, the 2015 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. It does not have the aromatic expansiveness or body of the very best years, but in exchange, it will drink well pretty much upon release." Vinous 90 Points

"Pepper, savory and bay leaf notes lead the way, with a core of medium-weight cassis and cherry flavors. A tobacco hint and chalky minerality extend the finish, which has a pleasant austerity. A touch reticent in style, but will age well." Wine Spectator 90 Points

"While this wine has plenty of ripe tannins, the delicious blackberry fruit speaks loudest. Ripe, full and with a fine line of acidity, it is gently structured and likely to age well." Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

Reserve de la Comtesse 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Pauillac, Bordeaux

“This is an impressive second wine. It shows a lot of vibrant red berries, blackberries and darker plum fruits. The palate is impressive for the vibrant and lively acidity cast amid sturdy but supple tannins. Second wine from Pichon-Lalande.” James Suckling 93 Points

“The 2015 Réserve de la Comtesse is a superb second wine. Time in barrel and egg white fining have softened some of the tannins the 2015 showed as a barrel sample, but the fruit intensity, pedigree and class of the estate are all in the glass. Black cherry graphite, smoke and licorice are some of the many notes that infuse this potent, almost shockingly virile Comtesse. Quite simply, in 2015 Comtesse is equal to, or greater than, many Grand Vins. Don't miss it. The 2015 spent 12 months in oak, 25% new.” Vinous 92 Points

de La Dauphine 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Fronsac, Bordeaux

“Very pretty aromas of perfume, currants and orange peel follow through to a full body, round and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Solid and structured.” James Suckling 92 Points

“Offers an enticing core of plum, black currant and raspberry paste flavors that are mixed with light charcoal, licorice and singed alder notes. This has energy to match its range through the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.” Wine Spectator 91 Points

“The 2015 La Dauphine is potent, but also remains relatively light on its feet next to other Fronsacs in this vintage. Inky red/purplish fruit, floral notes and spice are among the signatures. Sweet floral notes and silky, polished tannins add to an impression of finesse. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.” Vinous 90 Points

Bitouzet-Prieur Meursault Les Charmes 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"The 2015 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru sports very slight reduction on the nose, but the terroir comes through: fine definition, scents of crushed stone and a little walnut, a subtle marine influence in the background. The palate is well defined with a crisp bead of acidity, saline in the mouth, with a pinch of lemongrass toward the finish. Very fine. Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Clos des Chènes 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"The lateness of the malos is in evidence as here too the nose is quite firmly reduced. As is typically the case there is even more size, weight, power and even concentration to the broad-shouldered and robust flavors that possess an outstanding level of dry extract that coats the palate and does a fine job of buffering the very firm tannic spine on the driving finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is a take no prisoners Clos des Chênes." 91-94 Points Allen Meadows, Burghound

Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Les Caillerets 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Moderately saturated medium red. Sexy, lightly medicinal aromas of cherry, redcurrant and milk chocolate, with a touch of peppery, spicy lift. (Unlike the foregoing wines, which are from totally destemmed fruit, this cuvée was vinified with a small percentage of whole clusters for the first time.) At once denser and more delicate than the Taillepieds, more reticent in the middle palate but with lovely mineral precision to its flavors of raspberry, black cherry, licorice and spices. Shows less of the vintage's obvious warmth than the Taillepieds, no doubt due at least in part to the lightly peppery stem influence. This wine should evolve slowly and gracefully." 92+ Points Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Taillepieds 2015, 0.75L

"Medium red. A hint of musky, resiny reduction to the aromas of cherry, wild strawberry and licorice. Fine-grained, dry wine with terrific concentration and depth to its dark berry and spice flavors. Actually begins a bit austere but serious, late-arriving tannins carry the fruit through a very long finish. This big, rich Volnay is slightly high-toned in a positive way. The yield here was a healthy 37 hectoliters per hectare in 2015, according to François Bitouzet." 92 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

"The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru les Chaignots, a vineyard that I have a soft spot for, has a very pure, nubile, red cherry, crushed strawberry and cassis-tinged bouquet that is utterly seductive. The palate is beautiful: fine tannins, layers of dark cherry, black plum fruit with an almost confit-like finish that has wonderful definition and superb length. It might not possess the sophistication of Les Saint Georges or the Vaucrains, but the bottom line is that it is absolutely delicious." 91-93 Points Neal Martin

"The expressive nose is compositionally quite similar to that of the Bousselots except that it's just a bit more deeply pitched. The clean, cool and sleek flavors display excellent delineation along with plenty of minerality, all wrapped in a wonderfully persistent and impeccably well-balanced if notably firm finale. Sylvain Morey Santenay Grand Clos Rousseau 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Santenay, Burgundy

"Sylvain was most excited to inherit this full .40-hectare holding from his father.  Planted in 1993, the Grand Clos Rousseau was always the top red wine from Jean-Marc Morey and always the most impressive old wine from his cellar.  Intensely aromatic, with rich red fruits, savory earthy tones and sweet tannins, this over-achiever often stands up to the best reds of the Cote de Beaune. Roughly 30 cases a year are available for the US market." Rosenthal Wine Merchant

Bernard Baudry Chinon La Croix Boissee 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Franc from Chinon, Loire

"Bernard Baudry, now joined by his son Matthieu, is a master of terroir-driven winemaking in the Loire Valley. Cabernet Franc is the common denominator here, but the Baudry vineyards span a range of soil types—sand, gravel, clay, limestone, chalk—yielding fascinatingly diverse expressions of the same grape. La Croix Boissée is among the domaine’s deepest, most complex, and longest-aging reds: sourced from a south-facing slope of clay over white tuffeau limestone, this cuvée demonstrates the grandeur and finesse Cabernet Franc is capable of achieving in the right site. Aged for two years in oak and bottled unfiltered, this high-caliber red could humiliate many a Bordeaux sold for ten times the price. Its trademark is a rich aroma of ripe black fruits, a mouthwatering acidity, and dense, chalky tannins that provide a clean, pure, refreshing finish." Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

Bernard Fouquet Domaine Aubuisières Vouvray Les Girardières 2015, 0.75L
Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, Loire

"The 2015 Vouvray “les Girardières” from Bernard Fouquet is the estate’s Demi-Sec, though this no longer appears on the label. I found it interesting that the le Petit Clos Sec this year is sealed under natural cork, but the les Girardières is under screwcap. The wine is not yet showing any off aromatics from reduction, but is far less expressive on the nose than the le Petit Clos, tentatively offering up scents of apple, quince, lanolin and chalky soil tones. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, crisp and nicely plumped up with a glaze of residual sugar, with a fine core, lovely soil signature and very good grip on the long and classy finish. This has the depth and inherent balance to last very long in bottle, but under this closure, I really have no idea how long it is going to survive. But, it is really delicious out of the blocks and not hard to drink in its stylish adolescence. Decant it now, to jump start the bouquet blossoming." 91 John Gilman

Catherine & Pierre Breton Bourgueil Clos Sénéchal 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Franc from Bourgueil, Loire

"Clos Sénéchal is one of the top two red Bourgueil wines produced by the Bretons.  It is from a parcel on the hillside above the plateau of Galichets, where clay and limestone soil sits atop the famed tuffeau of the Loire, the chalky white limestone quarried to build many of the famed châteaux of the region.  Sénéchal is macerated in open wood vats and fermented and aged in wooden foudres.  It is bottled without fining or filtration after 18 months of aging." "Last tasted in late July 2016 – more than a year ahead of its anticipated bottling – this delivers an unusually rich, polished palate impression while retaining vivacity and refreshment thanks to juicy ripe pear and fresh lime. The mineral and animal dimensions – anticipated on the nose – suggest sea breeze and urchin roe, yielding a savor that positively milks the salivary glands. "The “Champs de Cri” is an important parcel of 2.3 hectares known in Les Loges as the site that produces the most elegant and long-lived of the wines of this appellation. Deschamps’ holdings are exclusively old vines with an average age of 55 years (as of 2012). Out of respect for the complexity and depth of this wine, Deschamps leaves this wine in contact with the lees for several months more than his other cuvées and it is released for sale later than the other wines of the estate. Yannick Amirault Bourgueil La Quartiers 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Franc from Bourgueil, Loire

"The 2015 Bourgueil “les Quartiers” from the Amirault family is a superb example of the vintage that is still on the young side, but already is quite expressive and its ultimate quality is very, very easy to see. The superb bouquet delivers a constellation of sweet dark berries, cassis, cigar ash, espresso, dark soil tones, a touch of cola and a gentle topnote of eucalyptus. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and sappy at the core, with excellent soil signature, ripe, seamless tannins and a very long, nascently complex and utterly classic finish. This is a great bottle of Bourgueil in the making, and though it is approachable already at three years of age, it is still a puppy and really should be left alone in a cool corner of the cellar for at least three or four more years and allow its secondary layers of complexity to start to emerge. Clos du Mont-Olivet Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Unique 2015, 0.75L
Grenache from Chateauneuf du Pape, Rhône

“A beautifully crafted wine that has a deeply fragrant rose and red berry nose. The purity of grenache sings brightly. In the mouth it offers a fluid, even-paced and smoothly structured impression. Deceptive power, too” James Suckling 94 Points

“Vivid ruby. Heady, mineral-laced red berry preserve, spicecake and floral aromas are complicated by suggestions of dusty minerals and pungent herbs. Lively, sharply focused raspberry and bitter cherry flavors become deeper and sweeter with air while picking up a musky licorice nuance. Shows impressive energy and thrust on the sweet, red-fruit-dominated finish, which is framed by supple, slow-building tannins.” Vinous 91-93 Points

Ferrando Carema Etichetta Bianca 2015, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Carema, Piedmont

"If there is any wine that defines the Ferrando “oeuvre” it is this one: the white label Carema. No single wine in our portfolio is more illustrative of our work than this brilliant rendition of Nebbiolo. Produced exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape planted in a series of vineyards that sit beneath Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco) in a broad amphitheatre with full southern exposure overlooking the river, Dora Baltea, that runs from the snow-capped mountains south through the Valle d’Aosta into the northwestern range of Piedmont slicing the city of Ivrea in half. The vines are trained in a special way on pergola (known as “tupin” in local dialect) to obtain maximum exposure to the sun in this high altitude district and are planted to soils that are dominated by slate. The appellation of Carema is extremely small: only 16 hectares (approximately 40 acres) are planted to the vine. The Ferrando family controls 2.5 hectares of the appellation. The Nebbiolo grapes are harvested normally during the second half of October; then, they undergo a cuvaison of approximately two weeks in stainless steel before being racked into a mixture of large and small barrels for an extensive aging period of 30 to 36 months before being bottled (without filtration). By law, the Carema cannot be released before four years of aging. Production of the Carema “Etichetta Bianca” is approximately 7200 bottles per annum, two-thirds of which (4800 bottles) comes to the States. A small quantity of magnums is bottled each year at our request as well. The Carema of Ferrando reveals the most elegant and delicate and complex characteristics of the Nebbiolo grape with a surprising capacity to age. We have witnessed this wine at thirty-plus years of age displaying vibrant, seductive qualities that are simply astonishing." Importer Notes, Rosenthal Wine Merchant

Luigi Einaudi Barolo Cannubi 2015, 0.75L

"The 2015 Barolo Cannubi is super-polished and elegant. Luigi Einaudi Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi 2015, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barolo, Piedmont

"Compared to the Cannubi cru, the 2015 Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi is much more structured and rich. At 45 years old, these are the estate's oldest vines at work (the youngest ones are used for the Barolo Ludo), producing a tannic but nicely balanced and approachable Barolo. There are strongly present earth tones in this vintage, such as freshly tilled soil, and as it opens you'll discover more sweet spice and chocolate as well."94 Points Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

There’s a wealth of ripe and rich fruit here that makes a convincing impression on the nose with red to darker cherries, plums and an array of fresh leaves and herbs. Mauro Veglio Barolo Castelletto 2015, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barolo, Piedmont

"The 2015 Barolo Castelletto is the most complete and expressive of the Veglio 2015s. A rush of blue and purplish berry fruits melds into lavender, spice, licorice and tobacco, while beams of firm Monforte tannin give the wine its distinctive energy. There is so much to admire in this nuanced, powerful wine from Veglio." 93 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco 2015, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barbaresco, Piedmont

"I tasted this wine after bottling but before its commercial release. The 2015 Barbaresco will hit the market on September 1st. It was scheduled to be released in October, but because Produttori del Barbaresco is already out of stock of the 2014 Barbaresco, they decided to move this release up and shorten waiting times. I mention that because you definitely don't want to pop the cork too early. The 2015 vintage opens to a visibly darker color and thicker concentration compared to recent past vintages. Next to the upcoming 2016 and 2017 editions, we can expect 2015 to be the most fruit-forward of the three. You get dark tones of plum and blackberry with dry tannins at the rear." 93 Points Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

This is a smooth and silky Sangiovese that glides clean over the palate with strength and intensity. Bright cherry, blueberry and herbal accents with wild sage and rosemary characterize the finish. "Piaggia's 2015 Carmignano Il Sasso is rich, ample and voluptuous in what is a very representative expression of the year. Black cherry, plum, lavender, spice, tobacco and dried herbs develop in the glass, but the 2015 is all about fruit intensity and texture. l'Arco Chianti 2015, 0.75L
Sangiovese from Chianti, Tuscany

"The grapes are picked and sorted by hand and after de-stemming and crushing, are sent in tanks for traditional vinification. Maceration on the skins for 22 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 28°C. The alcoholic fermentation lasts an average of 10 days. The wine is then racked into 30hL oak barrels where it remains for 12 months for aging and malolactic fermentation. After one year the wine is kept in steel tanks for about a month, then lightly filtered, bottled and aged for another 4 months before market release. Very intense ruby ed color. The nose is a remarkably fragrant with red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, followed by a hint of licorice and coffee. Its sweet and velvety tannins wrap around the mouth, leaving a deep feeling of freshness, making this pleasant wine fine and very elegant." Weygandt Metzler

Giuseppe Quintarelli Primofiore 2015, 0.75L
Corvina / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc from Veneto, Veneto

"This is the most accessible and fresh red wine in the greater Giuseppe Quintarelli portfolio. The 2015 Primofiore is a blend of equal parts indigenous grapes (Corvina and Corvinone) and French grapes (Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc). Those four varieties come together with harmony to create a fresh entry-level wine that is redolent of dark fruit, wild berry and plum. Cakebread Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, California

"Vine Hill Ranch is a blend of two clones of Cabernet Sauvignon from three special blocks in the Vine Hill Ranch vineyard in Napa Valley’s western benchlands near Oakville. Hand-harvested at night to ensure the fruit’s freshness and varietal purity, each of the three vineyard blocks is fermented and barrel-aged separately. After the grapes are gently destemmed and crushed, the must from each of the three vineyard lots is cold-soaked in stainless steel tanks for 48 hours to extract color, aromas, flavors and tannins prior to initiating fermentation with a cultured French yeast strain. Once fermentation completes, the wines enjoy an extended maceration on their skins to extract color and flavor and soften tannins. The three are blended and aged 22 months in French oak barrels, 66% new, to create an intense Cabernet Sauvignon." Kobrand Wine & Spirits

This cuvée is normally a blend of 60-70% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, and it’s the Cabernet Franc that gives it another layer of complexity and elegance. "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is dense, pliant and wonderfully expressive. Ric Forman's wines are always on the restrained side, but the 2015 packs a good bit of punch. Sweet red cherry, raspberry, sage, mint, and rose petal overtones all add to the wine's precision and nuance. In 2015, Forman took in fruit from Thorevilos, which he co-manages with David Abreu, but ultimately decided to add that juice to the Cabernet Sauvignon rather than bottle it separately. Mayacamas Chardonnay 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Napa Valley, California

"The 2015 Chardonnay emerges from dry-farmed, old vines on the property. In this vintage, the Chardonnay is surprisingly rich and unctuous yet it also retains its mid-weight feel. Orchard fruit, white flowers and mint, along with slightly tropical overtones, give the 2015 much of its distinctive personality. Readers who can find the 2015 should plan on cellaring it for at least a few years, as the wine needs time to shed its baby fat. Tasted again after the reds, with a good 30 minutes in the glass, the Chardonnay is flat-out gorgeous. About 80% of the wine spent time in larger foudres, which likely helped it retain a measure of freshness." 95 Points Antonio Galloni

"Hearty red-fruit and graham cracker richness mark this well-made wine, blended with 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. A generous tannin structure provides a framework for the ripe weight as the finish explores aspects of sweet tobacco." 90 Points Wine Enthusiast

Zotovich Family Vineyard Chardonnay Zoto 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Sta. Rita Hills, California

"Very light in the glass, this twist-top bottling offers tight and bright aromas of white rose petals, citrus peel and cold steel on the nose. The palate is much more exciting, with lime zest, baked nectarine, lemongrass and a hint of marshmallow, all set against a chalky structure." 90 Points Wine Enthusiast

Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley, Washington

"The flagship is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon mostly from Champoux with the balance from Palengat and Wallula vineyards. Crème de cassis, graphite, black licorice, unsmoked tobacco, and hints of chocolate emerge from this beauty and it continues to gain depth and nuance with time in the glass. Full-bodied, deep, and layered with an incredible purity and elegance on the palate, it's already accessible but has more than enough tannin, depth, and balance to evolve for two decades or more." 99 Points Jeb Dunnuck
