"Bricked through to the center with a ruby core. A wonderfully spicy, still vibrant and elegantly pure nose that is displaying some aged burg aromas (but no sous bois) introduces clean, fine, classy and still quite powerful flavors that still display some freshness on the long and punchy finish. There is the barest trace of acidity now poking through on the finish but this is in remarkable condition at 44 years of age and it will easily go for another 20 years . . ." Allen Meadows, Jan 2008
Notes: One 3cm, two 4.5cm, two 5cm, one 6cm, three corroded and torn capsules, one partially exposing cork, two cut prior to specialist inspection revealing Domaine and vintage branded corks, five bin soiled, lightly scuffed and glue stained labels, three nicked at edge, one heavily bin soiled and lightly torn label, three signs of slight past seepage, #49-54.
