Lot #466. Alejandro Fernandez Alenza Gran Reserva 2006

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L
Packaging: OWC.
Score: 93 VM.
"Deep, amber-rimmed red. A highly perfumed, complex bouquet evokes dried cherry, raspberry preserves, pipe tobacco and succulent herbs, with potpourri, coconut and woodsmoke nuances building as the wine opens up. Sweet and seamless in texture, offering spice-tinged red fruit, spicecake and cola flavors that pick up a touch of gaminess as the wine stretches out. Barely perceptible tannins appear on a very long, smoky finish that leaves sweet chewing tobacco and smoked meat notes behind. All whole clusters; fermented in open-top stainless-steel tanks and aged for 30 months in neutral American oak barrels." Josh Raynolds, Vinous.com, Dec 2019
Provenance: The Normande Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $200
