Lot #162. Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Musigny 2000

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 94+ JG.
"The 2000 Musigny from Monsieur Mugnier is a beautiful bottle of wine that is in the midst of blossoming and setting sail for the stars. The bouquet is deep, pure and magical, as it offers up a classic mélange of cherries, strawberries, blood orange, roses, lovely minerality and coffee. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long, pure and transparent, with lovely intensity of flavor, an excellent core of fruit, superb focus and balance and a very long, meltingly tannic and tangy finish that closes with great grip and a profound expression of terroir. I would give this superb wine just another year or two to really reach its apogee, and then drink it over the ensuing twenty years." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2008, Issue #18
Provenance: The Chevalier Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $2,750
