Lot #81. Jean-Marc et Hugues Pavelot Savigny-Lès-Beaune Aux Gravains 2001

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 91 AM.
"Often the most underrated 1er in the Pavelot portfolio as it's usually a very subtle, understated wine with a solid mineral streak that runs the length of the wine. Intense black cherry fruit and subtle ripe earth notes give way to sappy, mouth coating, beautifully defined flavors of superb complexity and stunning length. Quite racy and pure but this could easily fool even an experienced taster into thinking this is a top premier cru from the Côte de Nuits. Wonderful juice and most impressive." Burghound.com
Provenance: The Chevalier Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $40
