"Very hot summer with harvest starting on 10 Sep. Very good summer. Very ripe grapes gave the highest potential alcohols ever. 65% Pinot Noir with 70% from Bollinger's own vineyards. Initial alcohol 12.2%, 6.3g/l total acid. Mid orangey bronze. Very big and broad. Very rich and mushroomy but with a dry finish. Long and deep. SO long! Amazing concentration!!! Each mouthful seemed to last a full five minutes – quite stunning." Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, Mar 2012
