92 WA. "This has a lovely nose of blackberry leaf, scorched earth, a touch of salt, a hint of seaweed - outstanding definition. The palate is masculine, tight, quite tannic, definitely a wine that needs food to accompany it and embrace the acidity, but again full of character. One kind discern dried black fruits mingling with roasted herbs and a touch of pepper that builds and builds and then whacks you on the back-palate. The growing season impinges itself upon this Bon Pasteur, but after 20 years it is a great success. Excellent." Neal Martin's Wine Journal, Jul 2013 |
