Lot #85. Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 1952

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 96 AM.
"Wow, what a stunning and positively ethereal nose with everything that a serendipitous combination of great vintage, terroir and bottle age can create, including spice, earth, oriental tea, game and earth yet such descriptors don't begin to capture the sheer breadth of aromatic expression here. The supple, intense, indeed even robust and muscular flavors are delicious and the sap completely coats the mouth on the velvety finish. The flavor profile is not necessarily elegant as the structure is almost rustic yet the nose is so fine that it makes one overlook such nits. In short, the nose is perfection with flavors that are impressive . . ." Burghound.com, Mar 01, 2008
