95+ JG. "Much like the Montée de Tonnerre, the Valmur is still a very primary wine, and will prove to be one of the longest lived wines of the 2000 vintage. The nose is deep and pure, with strong notes of wet stones and chalk driving the other aromatic constituents of apple, lemon, bread fruit and spring flowers. On the palate the wine is deep and tightly-knit like the Montée de Tonnerre, but with even more depth at the core, great acid structure, laser-like focus, and tremendous length and grip on the finish . . . . this will be one of the very best 2000 Chablis.
