99 AM. ". . . white wine just doesn't get any better than this: A wonderfully penetrating nose of razor-sharp delineation and purity that offers white flowers, hazelnut, ripe pear and the barest hint of botrytis, which rather than interfering in the clear expression of the underlying terroir in this case only serves to add to the incredible aromatic complexity. The flavor precision is nothing short of phenomenal as they're dripping with minerality and knockout intensity yet gargantuan scale and raw power are delivered with incredible grace and balance. The intensity builds from the mid-palate and continues on building to a finish that I could honestly still taste a week later. A monumentally great and emotionally thrilling Ramonet Montrachet that cedes nothing to the reference standard Montys from the '82, '83, '85 or '96 vintages, which is simply the highest compliment that one can pay any white Burgundy."
