100 JG. "The 1992 Coche Corton Charlie is one of the single finest white wines that I have ever had the pleasure to taste. This particular bottle was decanted a good hour before we served it, and the aeration time allowed this still slightly young wine to blossom magnificently. The bouquet is tremendously deep and pure, offering up a mélange of buttered apricots, pears, wet stones, vanilla custard, a bit of pineapple and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full and incredibly powerful, with a huge core of fruit, perfect balance and focus, and great length and grip on the thundering finish. This has the size and weight of a DRC Montrachet, but with an inner harmony and structural integrity of a great vintage of Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet. To my palate, this wine is pure perfection."
